The Greasley Gathering Returns For 2026

The event, which was originally established by a dedicated local residents’ group, continues to thrive after Greasley Parish Council stepped up to take over its organisation. When the group was no longer able to continue, the Parish Council ensured the tradition lived on, and has worked hard to expand one of the area’s most anticipated annual events.

Today, the Parish Council fully funds and organises the event, with councillors and staff putting in months of planning and preparation behind the scenes. Staff and volunteer councillors dedicate significant time and effort each year to coordinate venues, book entertainment, arrange transport and ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.

This year’s Greasley Gathering is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet, with a wide range of attractions and activities spread across multiple venues.

Visitors can enjoy a fantastic line-up including White Post Farm, bringing along a selection of animals for families to meet, and a special appearance from Robin Hood, adding a touch of local legend to the day. There will also be exciting skateboarding sessions delivered by Skate Nottingham, offering something a little different for thrill-seekers and spectators alike.

For those interested in the arts, the Eastwood Photographic Society will be hosting a photo exhibition, showcasing local talent and capturing the beauty and character of the area.

There will be plenty of traditional favourites too, including a funfair, a wide variety of food vendors, and an extensive selection of craft and charity stalls, giving visitors the chance to browse, shop and support local causes.

Health and wellbeing will also feature, with CPR training sessions provided by Victoria Leisure Centre, offering a valuable opportunity for residents to learn life-saving skills in a relaxed and accessible setting.

Car enthusiasts can enjoy a display of classic vehicles, including everyone’s favourite local military vehicle ‘George’, while live entertainment and activities throughout the day will ensure there is always something happening.

To help visitors make the most of everything on offer, three free shuttle buses will be running continuously between venues, making it easy to travel around and experience the full event. Attendees are encouraged to make use of the shuttle service or alternative transport, as there will be no parking available on site. Parking is available at many of our participating venues, and buses can be hailed from any normal bus stop along the route.

The Greasley Gathering remains a celebration of everything that makes the community special – bringing together local organisations, businesses and residents for a day of non-stop fun.

The Parish Council is also encouraging residents to get involved in future events. As all councillors are volunteers, additional support is always welcome. Those interested can consider becoming a Parish Councillor or joining the Events Working Group to help shape and deliver future Gatherings.

With something for everyone and a strong community spirit at its heart, the Greasley Gathering 2026 is not to be missed.
