We’re thrilled to announce Greasley Sounds, an exciting new community event coming to Greasley this summer! Taking place on Bank Holiday Monday, 25th August, this event promises music, entertainment, local venues, and open-air fun – all with a fresh, sustainable twist.

Much like the well-loved Greasley Gathering, which has run successfully for over a decade, Greasley Sounds will bring together families, neighbours, performers, businesses and community groups for a day packed with activities and good vibes – but this time with a summer holiday buzz and (hopefully!) some sunshine on our side.

🚌 A Greener Way to Get Around

In a push to reduce car use, we’re introducing an extended shuttle bus service running from 10:30am to 3:00pm, linking local venues and residential areas. With more stops than ever before, we hope you’ll leave the car at home and hop on the bus to explore everything on offer.

🎤 Outdoor Stage – Live Music and Performances All Day

Our outdoor stage on the main site will be packed with fantastic entertainment from start to finish. Expect a full line-up of live bands, local musicians, dance groups, and community performers, bringing energy and talent to the heart of the event. Whether you’re a fan of toe-tapping tunes or want to support up-and-coming local acts, the stage will be the place to be throughout the day.

🎪 Fun for All Ages – Attractions & Entertainment

Greasley Sounds is bursting with family-friendly entertainment! Alongside our stalls and stage, visitors can enjoy:

• A traditional funfair with rides for all ages

• Inflatables to jump and bounce the day away

• A thrilling 30m long indoor caving experience for the adventurous

• Dino Live shows, where prehistoric creatures come to life before your eyes

• The always-popular White Post Farm animal roadshow, bringing adorable animals for children to meet up close

There’s something for everyone – whether you’re an adrenaline-seeker, animal lover, or dino enthusiast!

🎤 Venues & Entertainment Across the Parish

We’re teaming up with local venues to offer a range of entertainment, special offers, food and drink throughout the day. From live music and games to food stalls and pop-up performances – there’ll be something for all ages.

Each participating venue will be a shuttle stop, making it easy to enjoy the full Greasley Sounds experience from start to finish.

🌿 Sustainability & the Great Outdoors

One of the core focuses of this year’s event is sustainability and the joy of getting outside. We’re working with groups like the Friends of Colliers Wood to highlight local green spaces and nature-based activities – ideal for families looking to enjoy some fresh air.

🛍️ Stalls, Fun & Community Spirit at Dovecote Road

Our main hub on Dovecote Road will once again be buzzing with stalls from local charities, small businesses, performers, and community groups – many of whom will be offering free or low-cost activities. Whether you’re shopping, snacking or just soaking up the atmosphere, there’ll be plenty to keep you entertained.
