Greasley Sounds Returns This August with More Music, More Arts and Brand-New Family Fun!

Following the success of previous community events, Greasley Sounds will once again transform the Sports & Community Centre into a vibrant festival celebrating local talent, creativity and family fun. From live music and interactive workshops to family games and community organisations, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Brand-New ‘It’s a Knockout’ Zone!

New for 2026 is our exciting “It’s a Knockout” Zone, packed with giant games and challenges that are completely free to enjoy.

Have a go on attractions including:

• Rodeo Bull
• Sumo Suits
• Gladiator Duel
• Bungee Run
• Giant inflatable games and more!

Whether you’re feeling competitive or just want a good laugh with friends and family, it’s set to be one of the highlights of the event.

Get Creative with Free Street Art Workshops

We’re also delighted to welcome talented street artists to Greasley Sounds.

Children will be able to book a free session to create their own canvas artwork under the guidance of experienced artists before taking their masterpiece home to keep. It’s a fantastic opportunity to try something new and encourage creativity during the summer holidays.

Music Around Every Corner

As always, music remains at the heart of Greasley Sounds.

Alongside performances on our main outdoor stage, we’re introducing a second indoor stage in the Parish Hall, giving even more local musicians and performers the opportunity to showcase their talents throughout the day.

If you’d rather join in than simply listen, head over to the Sports Hall, where everyone is welcome to take part in relaxed and friendly ukulele jam sessions. Whether you’re an experienced player or just curious to see what it’s all about, you’ll receive a warm welcome.

Free Shuttle Buses

To make getting around easy, our popular free heritage shuttle buses will once again be running throughout the event, helping visitors travel between venues while reducing traffic and parking around the Sports & Community Centre.

Greasley Sounds is all about bringing our community together, celebrating local talent and providing a fun, affordable day out for families before the new school term begins.

Thanks to the support of our partners, volunteers and sponsors, entry and many of the activities are completely free, making it one of the best value family events in the local calendar.
