Greasley Parish Council is seeking to make the above appointment to our Senior Management Team to work alongside the Council’s Parish Clerk/Administrator and our Finance Officer
The Centre is embedded in our community, focussed on providing a variety of social and sports based activities for our residents of all ages and abilities dedicated to maintaining and improving their health and wellbeing. Our facilities include the Parish Hall (with a kitchen) and an adjacent Committee Room – both of these are multi-use spaces. We also have a well equipped modern Gym and a large Sports Hall that also comprises a multi-use space. Externally, on the recreation ground we have a Children’s play park and a Multi Use Games Area that can be configured as one large or two separate pitches and is shared with the adjacent primary school during term time.
The Centre is open seven days per week and is staffed by a team comprising a mix of full and part-time employees to cope with this level of activity on a three-week rota basis.
Candidates for this post must have a proven record in the leisure industry (public or private sector) more recently at supervisory or management level. We are currently developing plans to expand our facilities to cope with increasing demand and the person appointed will be expected to take charge of this process and carry it forward.
This is a full time appointment of 37 hours per week and we envisage a starting salary of between £33,000 and £36,000 depending on qualifications and experience. This would be reviewed upon the satisfactory conclusion of an agreed probationary period.
